A week old nearly

Well, it was this time last week, that Juanita had been injected with the epidural, and was continuing her man-bashing conversation with the midwife (men have no idea about pain apparently), and I was trying to watch the Bond film on the slightly crappy hospital TV. Juanita was 6-7cm dilated, and still not really noticing her contractions, and I was wondering if I was going to make it home in time for a good night's sleep. How wrong can you be....

Anyway, a week on from Molly's first signs of appearing, and we are coping very well. It is still very very hot in London. Mummy, Daddy & Molly went out for a walk on Tooting common this morning to meet our friends Lee & Claire, who delivered little Baby Eve last week - she is a week older than Molly. That was a nice outing. We've had the rest of the day to ourselves, which has been lovely - really just chilling out in the garden, trying to catch up on lost sleep. Molly has kept herself awake all afternoon staring at all the lovely flowers that everyone has been sending her - we really are very lucky to have such good friends.

Hopefully, everybody will like the new photos of Molly, aged 6 days old. I am starting to get the hang of this baby photography - you have to take 5 photos to get one good one. Today's post is asking all our correspondents to help us choose the photo we should print on her "birth announcement"card. Please "post a comment" on a photo if you think it is a particularly good candidate for printing up. If any of you want any of these photos, please let me know and I'll print you up a large copy, or get it posted to your house, if you let me know your address!!

We are still having a great time - I am thinking of writing to Tony Blair and asking if paternity leave can be extended to be as long as maternity leave. I only have one more week to really enjoy all this parenting lark before she's all Juanitas!

If anyone wants more information, please let me know!
