Maybe it's not all that easy

Well, Molly is now nearly 5 days old, and it's very very hot... She is coping well, even managing to sleep from 1am to 7am last night - let's keep this up Molly..

Following complaints from the accountant Wylies, here are a few more stats. Molly Elizabeth was born weighing 2.23 kilos, or 7 lbs 5 oz in old money, for you Graham. She was born at 425 am, and is 55cms long and about 34 cms wide apparently. Is there anything else you needed from that perspective?

Molly spent a fair amount of yesterday morning watching the English cricket team capitulate against the australians, in between pooing and burping and feeding. I sort of agree with her sentiments - they can only get better in time for the main test series next week. We have also managed to make it out for lunch every day this week - to various local pizzerias, etc. It is amazing to see how many mothers & babies are out and about - or maybe I just haven't noticed them before. However, when you take her out to cafe nero for a morning coffee, you really do have an open excuse to talk to all the scrummy mummies in the coffee shop, which can't be bad.

She has had several "firsts" today - her first bath, her first feed from an uncle, and a tv personality at that (see photos), her first poo all over her mum, leaking out of the side of the nappy. Hope that doesn't happen to me.

more news in a few days time...
